Gaskets & Monolithic insulation

Sealing and Gaskets
  • Ring Joint

Ring Joint Gaskets are designed to seal by “initial line contact” or wedging action between the mating flange and the gasket. By applying pressure on the seal interface through bolt force, the softer metal of the gasket flows into the micro-fine structure of the harder flange material, creating a very tight and efficient seal.

  • Kammprofile

Kammprofile Gaskets are manufactured utilising a precision machined serrated insert sealing element with V-like cut grooves designed to entrap a sealing compound to create many individual seals across the face of a flange. The sealing element can be used stand alone in the case of a tongue and grove application or can incorporate a centering ring, either fixed or loose depending on the specific application.

  • Spiral Wound

Spiral Wound Gaskets are made of a preformed thin metallic strip combined with a soft sealing composite material, wound together under pressure to energise the sealing element to act like a spring when compressed between two flange faces. The sealing element can be used stand-alone or in conjunction with inner and/or outer rings depending on the application. Spiral wounds are available in a full range of styles and materials and are manufactured in accordance with ASME B16.20 for use in all industry flanges, including ASME/ANSI B16.5, ASME B 16.47, Series A & B.

  • Soft Cut

LoneStar supplies a wide range of cut gaskets, from standard flange sizes to large irregular shaped gaskets, in many brand-leading materials from virgin PTFE to compressed non-asbestos (CNAF) sheeting and graphite.

  • Precision Engineered

Precision engineered gaskets and seals are critical components used in both subsea and surface applications. Predominately, these parts are manufactured from all types of steels, stainless steels and high nickel alloys and are manufactured to very strict tolerances. LoneStar manufactures your precision gasket requirements on CNC machine tools in the US, UK and India. Currently, we operate over 20 different machine tools, ranging from small diameter bar-fed machines to large horizontal CNC lathes.

  • Flange Insulation Kits

Corrosion has long been natures most destructive element, but with LoneStar flange insulation products this costly profit robbing item can all but be eliminated. LoneStar engineered insulation products, of consistent high quality, can be used to control and confine electrolytic corrosion in almost every piping system. LoneStar insulation products are manufactured from materials with superior high dielectric strength, low water absorption and chemical stability to maintain the high quality required in refinery and chemical plant applications. Hydrocarbon exposure, weathering and salt water are no problem for LoneStar insulating materials. LoneStar quality assurance and high production rate allow our customers to economically protect and lengthen the service life of equipment with little or no down time due to electrolysis.

  • Jacketed

Consisting of a soft filler embedded in a metallic material, jacketed gaskets provide both resilience and strength for a number of shell and tube type applications. Most jacketed gaskets are application specific and therefore precision and attention to detail is crucial during production.

Monolithic insulation joints

Monolithic insulation joint is a boltless structure that provides electrical resistance between the pipeline sections and adjoining structures, thus improving the effectiveness of the Cathodic Protection System (CP systems).
